US president commends three decades of energy cooperation with Azerbaijan
In a message delivered at the opening of the Caspian Oil and Gas Expo 2025, US President Donald Trump expressed strong support for the enduring energy partnership between the United States and Azerbaijan, highlighting three decades of successful cooperation in the oil and gas sector.
The letter, read out by Wyatt Toehlke, Senior Advisor for European and Eurasian Affairs at the US Department of State, was shared by the US Embassy in Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports.

It underscored the significance of bilateral relations rooted in mutual economic interests and regional energy security.
“Over the past 30 years, our two nations, both blessed with energy abundance, have enjoyed a tremendously productive partnership in the hydrocarbon sector,” Trump’s letter stated.
On June 2, the 30th Anniversary International Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition opened at the Baku Expo Center. The event is held as part of Baku Energy Week — the region’s key industry event that annually brings together global energy leaders. This year, Baku Energy Week unites three major events: the 30th Anniversary Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition, the 13th Caspian International Energy and Green Energy Exhibition, and the 30th Anniversary Baku Energy Forum.
