Baku-Dushanbe talks target stronger trade, industrial, agricultural links
Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister, co-chairman of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan, Samir Sharifov held a meeting with Tajikik Ambassador to Baku, Ilhom Abdurahmon, to discuss deepening bilateral economic ties.
The meeting focused on the implementation of agreements reached during the seventh session of the Intergovernmental Commission between the two countries, Caliber.Az reports citing Tajik media.
The sides evaluated the progress made and reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation in key economic sectors.
Particular attention was paid to strategies for increasing trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Tajikistan, as well as expanding collaboration in areas such as industry, agriculture, transport, and investment.
Deputy Prime Minister Sharifov also informed Ambassador Abdurahmon of his upcoming visit to Tajikistan to participate as the head of the Azerbaijani delegation at the High-Level International Conference on Glaciers’ Preservation, scheduled to take place in Dushanbe on May 29-31.
