Azerbaijan, World Bank talk future cooperation
Azerbaijan is looking to deepen its partnership with the World Bank, as officials from both sides met to discuss future cooperation.
Anar Kerimov, Azerbaijan’s First Deputy Finance Minister, welcomed Stefanie Stallmeister, the World Bank’s Country Manager for Azerbaijan, along with other senior representatives, Caliber.Az reports citing local media.
The meeting focused on the support the World Bank is providing to improve how Azerbaijan manages its public finances.
Both sides said they were pleased with how the partnership is going so far and shared ideas on how to work more closely in the future.
Azerbaijan’s government said it’s keen to expand cooperation, especially in areas where the World Bank can offer technical advice and support for reforms.
The talks highlighted the shared interest in building stronger financial systems and boosting good governance.
