Nakhchivan officials explore opportunities in West Azerbaijan Province
High-level Azerbaijani officials from the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic explored new opportunities in Iran’s West Azerbaijan Province during the international conference on investment opportunities in the province in Iran's Urmia on June 12.
The Azerbaijani delegation was led by Samir Seyidahmadli, Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in Nakhchivan, Caliber.Az reports via local media.
Governor of West Azerbaijan Province Reza Rahmani opened the event with a detailed presentation on the region’s investment prospects. Throughout the conference, various speakers delivered remarks, video presentations were showcased, and strategic cooperation was actively discusse
On the sidelines of the event, Seyidahmadli held bilateral meetings with Governor Rahmani and the Director General of Iran’s Free Economic Zone, Reza Masrur.
The Azerbaijani delegation featured key figures from Nakhchivan's economic and political landscape, including: Supreme Assembly Head Ulvi Huseynov, Economics Department of the Cabinet of Ministers Head Orkhan Babayev, Deputy Economy Minister Tapdig Aliyev.
The delegation also included Head of the Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Vusal Alakbarli, Chairman of the Board of the Entrepreneurs Confederation of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and Vice President of the Entrepreneurs Confederation of Azerbaijan Vugar Abbasov, Member of the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Teymur Rzayev, and Head of the Department for Operation of Reclamation Systems of Nakhchivan under the Regional Water Reclamation Service of the Water Resources Agency of Azerbaijan Malik Rzayev.
