Azerbaijan celebrates National Day in Osaka with cultural showcase
Azerbaijan marked its National Day at Expo 2025 in Osaka with a vibrant celebration highlighting the country’s cultural heritage and deepening ties with Japan.
The event was attended by Koji Haneda, Chief Commissioner for Expo 2025, and Anar Alakbarov, Chief Commissioner of Azerbaijan and assistant to the President of Azerbaijan, Caliber.Az reports citing local media.
In his remarks, Alakbarov emphasised the long-standing friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Japan, noting that Azerbaijan was the first country to officially commit to participating in Expo 2025.
He also highlighted that Azerbaijan’s national pavilion — inspired by the famed poem Seven Beauties by Azerbaijani literary giant Nizami Ganjavi — has become one of the most visited attractions at the expo.
The celebration concluded with a concert program featuring performances by renowned Azerbaijani artists, offering visitors a taste of the nation’s rich musical traditions.
