In response to US President Donald Trump’s recent expressions of discontent regarding the actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov underscored that Putin's decisions are guided primarily by the imperative to safeguard Russia’s national security interests.
Peskov highlighted the significance of the ongoing negotiation process, crediting the US and President Trump personally for their substantial efforts in facilitating the talks, Caliber.Az reports per Russian media.

He also acknowledged the heightened emotions surrounding the delicate diplomatic situation, attributing Trump’s remarks to “emotional weight.”
“It is a very responsible moment, which is related, of course, to the emotional weight of everybody absolutely and emotional reactions. We are closely monitoring all the reactions,” Peskov stated.
Reaffirming Putin’s stance, the Kremlin spokesman underscored that the Russian president continues to make decisions strictly aimed at safeguarding the country’s security. “President Putin is making those decisions that are necessary to ensure the security of our country,” Peskov concluded.
