Israeli Navy strikes Yemen's port of Hodeidah Updated
On June 10 morning, the Israeli Navy carried out missile strikes against military targets linked to the Houthi movement at the port of Hodeidah, Yemen.
The operation followed recent hostile actions by the Houthis, including the launch of surface-to-surface missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles towards Israeli territory, Caliber.Az reports, citing the Israel Defence Forces.
The strikes aimed to disrupt the use of Hodeidah port for military purposes. Israeli forces have targeted the port multiple times over the past year, citing its ongoing role in transferring weapons and supporting militant activities.
The Houthis, supported and funded by Iran, have been increasingly active in actions viewed as threatening to Israel and its regional allies.
